Join the Smart Citizens’ team in this short workshop, where we'll explore how to create simple forms and realistic designs in 3D through the free software, Autodesk Fusion 360. We will also introduce you to Cura, a software that transforms your designs into reality through the power of 3D printing.

Through this workshop we will show you how to:

  • Design simple forms and objects in 3D
  • Save your design in the correct format to be uploaded onto 3D digital fabrication machines, such as 3D printers and CNC machines, and understand the many possibilities of 3D digital fabrication.
  • Render your designs to make your objects look realistic and professional
  • Find open source (accessible to everyone) designs online

By taking part in this workshop, you will gain a Smart Citizens Digital Badge that can be added to your CV, email signature or LinkedIn profile to highlight your new skills in digital design and fabrication.

Why not also book onto our 'Introduction to 3D Digital Design: Part 2'? In this interactive follow-on workshop we will help you put your new skills into practice and create your own designs on Autodesk Fusion 360. Learn more.
